The Exposition of the Dvādaśī Vow for the Twelve Months
Dvādaśī-vrata-nirṇaya and Mahā-dvādaśī Lakṣaṇas
Narada (in dialogue context with the Sanatkumara brothers, presenting a prescriptive ritual instruction)
Vrata: none (applies to the named Dvādaśī observances in adjacent verses)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames devotion as a concrete act—complete worship (saṃpūjā) of Aniruddha/Vishnu—linking divine grace with both inner auspiciousness and the fulfillment of righteous aims.
Bhakti is expressed as reverent, focused worship of Vishnu in a specific form (Aniruddha), emphasizing personal relationship (Ramā-pati) and trust that the Lord bestows welfare and desired results.
The verse is primarily ritual-prescriptive (vidhi) rather than technical Vedanga; the practical takeaway is the procedure-oriented emphasis on proper, complete pūjā (saṃpūjā) as part of vrata/ritual performance.
