Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 75

The Account of the Ekādaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months

ततः संभोज्य भूदेवान्दक्षिणाभिः प्रतोष्य तान् । विसृज्य बांधवैः सार्द्धं स्वयमश्नीत वाग्यतः ॥ ७५ ॥

tataḥ saṃbhojya bhūdevāndakṣiṇābhiḥ pratoṣya tān | visṛjya bāṃdhavaiḥ sārddhaṃ svayamaśnīta vāgyataḥ || 75 ||

Kemudian, setelah menjamu para brāhmaṇa—‘dewa di bumi’—serta menggembirakan mereka dengan dakṣiṇā, hendaklah dia mempersilakan mereka beredar dengan hormat; sesudah itu, bersama kaum kerabat, dia sendiri hendaklah makan sambil menahan tutur kata.
