Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that bathing in the Gaṅgā (Jāhnavī) with inner purity and ritual correctness is a powerful tirtha-practice that leads the devotee toward Hari’s divine abode.
Bhakti is shown not only as emotion but as reverent practice: a pleased, faithful mind (saṃprīta-mānasaḥ) combined with vidhī (proper observance) directs the act of snāna toward Viṣṇu (Hari) as its ultimate goal.
The verse highlights ritual procedure (vidhi) central to Kalpa (Vedāṅga dealing with rites): sacred bathing is to be performed according to prescribed rules, not merely as a physical act.
