Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 37

द्वादशमासेषु अष्टमी-व्रत-कथनम्

Account of the Aṣṭamī Vow Across the Twelve Months

ततः प्रभाते विप्रग्र्यान्भोजयेन्मधुरान्नकैः । दत्वा च दक्षिणां तेभ्यो विसृजेत्तुष्टमानसः ॥ ३७ ॥

tataḥ prabhāte vipragryānbhojayenmadhurānnakaiḥ | datvā ca dakṣiṇāṃ tebhyo visṛjettuṣṭamānasaḥ || 37 ||

Kemudian, pada waktu fajar, hendaklah memberi makan para brāhmaṇa yang mulia dengan hidangan manis; dan setelah memberikan dakṣiṇā kepada mereka, hendaklah menghantar mereka pulang dengan hormat, dengan hati yang puas.
