Vrata: Saṅkaṣṭa-vrata (implied continuation)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes ritual discipline: maintaining mental restraint until moonrise and then performing a focused act of worship, showing that correct timing and inner control together complete a vrata.
Bhakti here is expressed as attentive waiting (mindful restraint) followed by a concrete devotional offering—worship of Gaṇanāyaka—demonstrating devotion through both intention and action.
It highlights jyotiṣa-style ritual timing: observing candrodaya (moonrise) as the prescribed moment for the next step of worship, aligning practice with celestial time.
