Adhyaya 23Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati

एतत् सत्यं विजानीतं युवां प्राणा बहिश्चराः ।

पुनर्नैवं विभिन्नार्थं वक्तव्यं द्विजसत्तमौ ॥

etat satyaṃ vijānītaṃ yuvāṃ prāṇā bahiścarāḥ / punar naivaṃ vibhinnārthaṃ vaktavyaṃ dvijasattamau

“Ketahuilah ini sebagai benar: kamu berdua ialah hayatku sendiri yang bergerak di luar (diriku). Oleh itu, wahai yang terbaik antara yang dua kali lahir, jangan lagi berkata-kata yang memecah tujuan kita.”
