Shloka 35

प्रतिगृह्म च तां पार्थ: पुरस्कृत्य जनार्दनम्‌ | विवाहं कारयामास सौभद्रस्य महात्मन: ।। ३५ इस प्रकार पार्थने उत्तराको ग्रहण करके भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णके सामने महामना अभिमन्यु और उत्तराका विवाह-संस्कार सम्पन्न कराया

pratigṛhya ca tāṃ pārthaḥ puraskṛtya janārdanam | vivāhaṃ kārayāmāsa saubhadrasya mahātmanaḥ || 35 ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Setelah menerimanya, Pārtha (Arjuna), dengan menempatkan Janārdana (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) pada kedudukan kehormatan, menyempurnakan upacara perkahwinan bagi Saubhadra (Abhimanyu) yang berhati luhur. Peristiwa ini menegaskan tertib dharma dalam kehidupan sosial walau selepas kekacauan: persetujuan dan penjagaan diakui secara rasmi, para tua-tua serta pelindung ilahi dihormati, dan penyatuan yang sah dimeterai melalui saṃskāra yang wajar, bukan oleh dorongan nafsu atau paksaan.
