Educational Q&A

To uphold dharma through disciplined restraint: one should endure both honour and insult without losing composure, and faithfully complete the required period of concealment; only after fulfilling the vow does rightful freedom and happiness follow.

Dhaumya instructs the exiled heroes that they must spend a full year living unrecognized, patiently bearing whatever treatment they receive; once that final year is completed, they may move about openly in the fourteenth year according to their will.
