त्रिगर्त-मात्स्य-संग्रामः

विराट: प्रादिशद् यानि तेषामक्लिष्टकर्मणाम् । तान्यामुच्य शरीरेषु दंशितास्ते परंतपा:,उसके बाद अनायास ही महान् पराक्रम करनेवाले पाण्डुपुत्रोंको राजा विराटने अपने हाथसे विचित्र कवच प्रदान किये, जो ऊपरसे सुदृढ़ और भीतरसे कोमल थे। उन्हें लेकर उन वीरोंने अपने अंगोंमें यथास्थान बाँध लिया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | virāṭaḥ prādiśad yāni teṣām akliṣṭakarmaṇām | tāny āmucya śarīreṣu daṃśitās te paraṃtapāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Raja Virāṭa sendiri menyerahkan kelengkapan pelindung yang telah ditetapkannya kepada para wira kelahiran Pāṇḍu, yang menyelesaikan tugas tanpa kepayahan. Menerima zirah itu, para pahlawan perkasa—penghangus musuh—mengikatkannya pada tubuh mereka di tempat yang sepatutnya, bersiap dengan disiplin untuk tugas yang menanti.
