Śiva Grants the Pāśupata Astra (Pāśupata-Śastra Upadeśa) | शिवेन पाशुपतास्त्रदानम्
ततोडर्जुनो मुर्दं लेभे लब्धास्त्र: पुरुषर्षभ: । कृतार्थमथ चात्मानं स मेने पूर्णणमानसम्,तदनन्तर देवताओंसे दिव्यास्त्र प्राप्त करके पुरुषोत्तम अर्जुनको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई; उन्होंने अपने-आपको कृतार्थ एवं पूर्णमनोरथ माना
tato 'rjuno mūrddhaṃ lebhe labdhāstraḥ puruṣarṣabhaḥ | kṛtārtham atha cātmānaṃ sa mene pūrṇamanāsam ||
Kemudian Arjuna, sang ‘lembu jantan’ antara manusia, setelah memperoleh senjata-senjata ilahi, berasa seolah-olah kepalanya terangkat tinggi oleh kehormatan. Dia menganggap dirinya telah mencapai tujuan, dan hatinya puas sepenuhnya—melihat perkenan para dewa serta usaha berdisiplin itu dimahkotai kejayaan.
