यजुषाम्चां साम्नां च गद्यानां चैव सर्वश: । आसीदुच्चार्यमाणानां नि:स्वनो हृदयड्भम:,यजुर्वेद, ऋग्वेद और सामवेद तथा गद्य-भागके उच्चारणसे जो ध्वनि होती थी, वह हृदयको प्रिय जान पड़ती थी
yajuṣāṁ ca sāmnāṁ ca gadyānāṁ caiva sarvaśaḥ | āsīd uccāryamāṇānāṁ niḥsvano hṛdayaṅgamaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Daripada bacaan himpunan Yajus dan Sāman, serta petikan prosa juga, terbitlah gema yang beralun—bunyi yang pada segala seginya terasa menyenangkan dan menyentuh hati.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the sanctifying and uplifting power of Vedic recitation: sacred speech, when properly uttered, produces a resonance that naturally steadies and delights the heart, suggesting an ethical ideal of disciplined, reverent engagement with śruti.
Vaiśampāyana describes an atmosphere filled with Vedic and prose recitations; the combined chanting creates a pervasive, heart-pleasing sound, indicating an ongoing ritual or learned recitation setting within the forest narrative.
