पञ्चमहाभूतगुण-इन्द्रियनिग्रह-उपदेशः | Teaching on the Qualities of the Five Elements and Sense-Control
त्रयाणामपि लोकानां महत् कार्य करिष्यसि । श्रीभगवान् बोले--ब्रह्मन! मेरी कृपासे यह सब कुछ तुम्हें प्राप्त हो जायगा। इसके सिवा तुम्हारे हृदयमें उस योगविद्याका प्रकाश होगा जिससे युक्त होकर तुम देवताओं तथा तीनों लोकोंका महान् कार्य सिद्ध कर सकोगे
trayāṇām api lokānāṁ mahat kārya kariṣyasi |
Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Engkau akan menyempurnakan suatu tugas besar bagi ketiga-tiga loka.” Bhagavān bersabda: “Wahai Brahmana! Dengan rahmat-Ku, semuanya itu akan engkau peroleh. Selain itu, di dalam hatimu akan menyala cahaya vidyā yoga; dengan itu engkau akan mampu menunaikan karya agung demi para dewa dan demi tiga alam.”
