पञ्चमहाभूतगुण-इन्द्रियनिग्रह-उपदेशः | Teaching on the Qualities of the Five Elements and Sense-Control
मार्कण्डेय उवाच एवं स छन््द्यमानस्तु वरेण हरिणा तदा
Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: evaṃ sa chandyamānas tu vareṇa hariṇā tadā
Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Demikianlah, pada ketika itu, dia—didorong dan diperdaya oleh anugerah yang ditawarkan oleh sang rusa—tertarik melangkah ke hadapan; tekadnya dibentuk oleh godaan ganjaran yang dijanjikan.”
