Nandā–Kauśikī Tīrtha Passage
दर्शयस्व महाराज मार्ग केन व्रजाम्यहम् । त्वदर्थमवतीर्णास्मि पृथिवीं पृथिवीपते,“महाराज! रास्ता दिखाओ मैं किस मार्गसे चलूँ? पृथ्वीपते! तुम्हारे लिये ही मैं इस भूतलपर उतरी हूँ!
darśayasva mahārāja mārgaṁ kena vrajāmy aham | tvadartham avatīrṇāsmī pṛthivīṁ pṛthivīpate ||
“Wahai raja agung, tunjukkanlah jalan—melalui laluan manakah harus aku pergi? Wahai tuan bumi, demi engkau semata-mata aku turun ke dunia ini.”
लोगश उवाच
The verse highlights purposeful action and loyal service: one who has undertaken a mission seeks clear direction from rightful authority, emphasizing responsibility, guidance, and acting for another’s welfare rather than personal gain.
A female speaker addresses a king with urgency and respect, asking him to indicate the route she should take, declaring that her very arrival on earth is specifically for his benefit—signaling a mission-oriented intervention within the story.
