इत्युक्ता सापचत् तानि ब्राह्मणप्रियकाम्यया । अधिभश्रित्य समिद्धे5ग्नौी बदराणि यशस्विनी
ity uktā sā apacat tāni brāhmaṇa-priya-kāmyayā | adhibhṛśritya samiddhe 'gnau badarāṇi yaśasvinī ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Setelah diperintah demikian, wanita yang termasyhur itu—dengan keinginan menyenangkan hati sang brāhmaṇa—meletakkan buah bidara itu di atas api yang menyala kuat lalu mula memasaknya.
