Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission

कामवीर्यधरान्‌ सिद्धान्‌ महापारिषदान्‌ प्रभु: । नन्दिसेनं लोहिताक्षं घण्टाकर्ण च सम्मतम्‌,रुद्रर्वसुभिरादित्यैरश्विभ्यां च वृतः प्रभु: । महापराक्रमी इन्द्र और विष्णु, सूर्य और चन्द्रमा, धाता और विधाता, वायु और अग्नि, पूषा, भग, अर्यमा, अंश, विवस्वान्‌ू, मित्र और वरुणके साथ बुद्धिमान्‌ रुद्रदेव, एकादश रुद्रणण, आठ वसु, बारह आदित्य और दोनों अश्विनीकुमार--ये सब-के-सब प्रभावशाली कुमार कार्तिकेयको घेरकर खड़े हुए

vaiśampāyana uvāca | kāmavīryadharān siddhān mahāpāriṣadān prabhuḥ | nandisenaṃ lohitākṣaṃ ghaṇṭākarṇaṃ ca sammatam | rudrair vasubhir ādityair aśvibhyāṃ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ |

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Sang Tuan (Skanda/Kārttikeya), dikelilingi para Siddha yang sempurna lagi teguh keberaniannya serta para pengiring agung istana ilahi, berdiri dikepung oleh Nandisena, Lohitākṣa dan Ghaṇṭākarṇa yang dihormati. Baginda juga diiringi para Rudra, para Vasu, para Āditya dan pasangan Aśvin. Pemandangan ini menegaskan visi moral tentang kuasa yang sah: kepemimpinan sejati bukanlah kekuatan bersendirian, melainkan disokong tenaga yang berdisiplin, dharmika, dan barisan kosmos yang teratur.
