कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue

शक्रस्तथाभ्ययाद्‌ द्रष्ट कुमारवरमच्युतम्‌ । प्रजानाथ! वहाँ सात मातृकाएँ- आ गयी थीं। साध्य, विश्व, मरुदगण, वसुगण, पितर, रुद्र, आदित्य, सिद्ध, भुजंग, दानव, पक्षी, पुत्रसहित स्वयम्भू भगवान्‌ ब्रह्मा, श्रीविष्णु तथा इन्द्र अपने नियमोंसे च्युत न होनेवाले उस श्रेष्ठ कुमारको देखनेके लिये पधारे थे | २९-३० ५ | नारदप्रमुखाश्नापि देवगन्धर्वसत्तमा:,तेडपि तत्र समाजम्मुर्यामा धामाश्च सर्वश: । देवताओं और गन्धवॉमें श्रेष्ठ नारद आदि देवर्षि, बृहस्पति आदि सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌्से श्रेष्ठ तथा देवताओंके भी देवता पितृगण, सम्पूर्ण यामगण और धामगण भी वहाँ आये थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca | śakras tathābhyayād draṣṭuṃ kumāravaram acyutam | prajānātha! tatra sapta mātṛkā āgatāḥ | sādhya-viśve marudgaṇā vasugaṇāḥ pitaraḥ rudrā ādityāḥ siddhā bhujaṅgā dānavāḥ pakṣiṇaḥ | putrasahitaḥ svayambhū bhagavān brahmā śrīviṣṇuś ca indraś ca niyamaiś cyutaṃ na bhavantaṃ taṃ śreṣṭhaṃ kumāraṃ draṣṭum upāgatāḥ || nāradapramukhāś cāpi devagandharvasattamāḥ te 'pi tatra samājaṃ mūryāmā dhāmāś ca sarvaśaḥ | bṛhaspatipramukhāḥ siddhāḥ pitṛgaṇāḥ devānām api devatāḥ sampūrṇā yāmagaṇā dhāmagaṇāś ca tatra āgatāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: Indra juga datang ke sana untuk menatap pemuda terunggul itu, Acyuta. Wahai tuan segala makhluk, Tujuh Ibu Dewi telah pun tiba di sana. Para Sādhya, Viśvedevas, bala Marut, Vasu, Pitṛ, Rudra, Āditya, Siddha, para ular naga, Dānava, dan burung-burung juga datang. Brahmā, Tuhan Yang Terlahir Sendiri, bersama putera-puteranya, serta Śrī Viṣṇu, dan Indra pula—tiada seorang pun menyimpang daripada dharma tugasnya—datang untuk melihat pemuda yang mulia itu. Nārada dan para resi dewa yang lain, yang terunggul antara dewa dan Gandharva; Bṛhaspati dan Siddha yang lain; para Pitṛ yang dihormati bahkan oleh para dewa; dan seluruh rombongan Yama serta Dhāma juga berhimpun di sana dari segenap penjuru.
