Sanjaya berkata: Wahai Maharaja! Ketika itu, melihat semua pahlawannya lari bertempiaran, dihimpit ketakutan terhadap Bhimasena, Duryodhana meratap “ha! ha!” lalu berkata kepada saisnya sendiri—

The verse highlights the fragility of collective resolve under fear: when warriors lose courage, even a powerful force can dissolve into flight. Ethically, it points to the responsibility of leadership in crisis—how a leader’s choices and prior conduct shape the morale and stability of those who follow him.
Sañjaya narrates that Duryodhana sees his troops fleeing, overwhelmed by fear of Bhīma. In alarm, Duryodhana cries out and addresses his charioteer, setting up the next action or command meant to respond to the battlefield collapse.
