Combat Description and Elephant Duel
महीवियद्दिगम्बूनां सर्वनाशमिवाद्धुतम् । कर्मणोरिव वैफल्यमुभयो: पुण्यपापयो:
mahīviyaddigambūnāṃ sarvanāśam ivādbhūtam | karmaṇor iva vaiphalyam ubhayoḥ puṇyapāpayoḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Wahai Raja, ia tampak menghairankan seperti kebinasaan menyeluruh bumi, langit, segala arah dan perairan—seperti sia-sianya kedua-dua jenis karma, pahala dan dosa.” Demikian juga, khabar bahawa Karṇa gugur di medan perang kedengaran hampir mustahil, seolah-olah tertib moral itu sendiri telah diterbalikkan.
