धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणाभिमुख्यं तथा सात्यकि-कर्ण-समागमः

यच्च मे गर्हसे राजन्नन्येन सह संगतम्‌ | अहं त्वया विनिकृतस्तत्र मे बुद्धिविभ्रम:,राजन्‌! आप जो यह कहकर मेरी निन्दा कर रहे हैं कि “अर्जुन! मैं दूसरेके साथ युद्धमें लगा हुआ था, उस दशामें तुमने मेरे साथ छल किया” आपकी इस बातसे मेरी बुद्धिमें भ्रम पैदा हो गया है

yac ca me garhase rājann anyena saha saṅgatam | ahaṃ tvayā vinikṛtas tatra me buddhivibhramaḥ ||

“Wahai Raja, apabila engkau mencela aku dengan tuduhan bahawa ketika engkau sedang bertempur dengan orang lain aku telah memperdayakanmu, tuduhanmu itu mengacaukan pertimbanganku—memaksaku menyoal apakah yang benar-benar dharma di tengah helah dan muslihat perang.”
