भीमसेन-दुर्योधन-प्रहारः तथा घटोत्कचमायाप्रादुर्भावः | Bhīmasena–Duryodhana Clash and the Manifestation of Ghaṭotkaca’s Māyā
ततः शब्दो महानासीत् सैन्ययोरुभयोर्नुप । निर्गच्छमानयो: संख्ये सागरप्रतिमो महान्
tataḥ śabdo mahān āsīt sainyayor ubhayor nṛpa | nirgacchamānayoḥ saṅkhye sāgara-pratimo mahān ||
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian, wahai raja, tatkala kedua-dua bala tentera keluar untuk bertempur, bangkitlah suatu gemuruh yang dahsyat dari kedua pihak—luas dan dalam, bagaikan deru lautan. Rangkap ini membingkai konflik yang bakal tiba bukan sebagai pertikaian peribadi, tetapi sebagai peristiwa yang menggoncang dunia, apabila tekad kolektif dan momentum perang melimpah melampaui kawalan insan perseorangan.
