तस्य ते निशितान् बाणान् संनिवार्य महारथा:
sañjaya uvāca | tasya te niśitān bāṇān saṁnivārya mahārathāḥ | atāḍayan raṇe bhīṣmaṁ sahitāḥ sarvasṛñjayāḥ ||
Sanjaya berkata: Setelah menangkis anak-anak panahnya yang tajam, para pahlawan kereta perang—seluruh Sṛñjaya bersatu—menyerang Bhīṣma dalam pertempuran, memukul dari setiap arah. Dalam amukan yang tersusun rapi, mereka berhasrat menenggelamkan sang datuk dalam ribut senjata, menekan tanpa henti di tengah hiruk-pikuk perang.
