Adhyāya 40: Brahmā on Mahān (The Great Principle) and the All-Pervading Puruṣa
तत्र बुद्धिविदो लोका: सद्धभावनिरताश्न ये । ध्यानिनो नित्ययोगाश्न सत्यसंधा जितेन्द्रिया:
tatra buddhivido lokāḥ sadbhāva-niratāś ca ye | dhyānino nitya-yogāś ca satya-saṅdhā jitendriyāḥ ||
Di sana, mereka yang berdaya-bicara, teguh pada niat mulia, bersifat kontemplatif, sentiasa mantap dalam yoga, setia pada ikrar, dan menguasai indera—mereka yang demikian, bebas daripada belenggu duniawi, mencapai Diri Tertinggi. Sesiapa yang benar-benar mengetahui kemuliaan Tuhan Yang Maha Tinggi memperoleh tujuan yang paling utama, membawa keberkatan dan pahala.
वायुदेव उवाच
Liberation and the highest destiny are attained through discernment, noble intention, meditation, steady yogic discipline, truthfulness to vows, and mastery of the senses; knowing the Supreme Lord’s glory supports an auspicious, merit-bearing end.
Vāyudeva is instructing the listener about the qualities of people who transcend saṃsāra and reach the Supreme Self, emphasizing inner discipline and truthful conduct as the path to the highest state.
