Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

अभुक्तवत्सु नाक्षाति ब्राह्मणेषु तु यो नर: । अभोजनेन तेनास्य जित: स्वर्गों भवत्युत,जबतक ब्राह्मण भोजन नहीं कर लें तबतक जो अन्न ग्रहण नहीं करता, वह मनुष्य अपने उस व्रतके द्वारा स्वर्गलोकपर विजय पाता है

abhuktavatsu nāśnāti brāhmaṇeṣu tu yo naraḥ | abhojanena tenāsya jitaḥ svargo bhavaty uta ||

Bhishma berkata: “Orang yang tidak makan selagi para Brahmin masih belum makan—yang menahan diri hingga mereka selesai menjamah hidangan—dengan disiplin itulah dia seakan-akan menakluk syurga.”
