कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity

सम्मान्यांश्षावमन्यन्ते वृद्धान्‌ परिभवन्ति च । एवंविधा नरा देवि सर्वे निरयगामिन:,गुरुके आनेपर प्रेमपूर्वक उनकी पूजा नहीं करते--उन्हें गुरुवत्‌ सम्मान नहीं देना चाहते, अभिमान और लोभके वशीभूत होकर वे सम्माननीय मनुष्योंका अपमान और बड़े- बूढ़ोंका तिरस्कार करते हैं। देवि! ऐसा करनेवाले सभी मनुष्य नरकगामी होते हैं

Transliteration

sammānyān avamanyante vṛddhān paribhavanti ca | evaṃvidhā narā devi sarve nirayagāminaḥ ||

Translation

Mereka meremehkan orang yang patut dimuliakan dan juga menghina orang tua. Wahai Devi, manusia seperti ini—semuanya—ditakdirkan ke neraka; kerana didorong oleh kesombongan dan ketamakan, mereka enggan menghormati para tua dan orang yang layak dihormati sebagai guru, sebaliknya memperlakukan mereka dengan hinaan.
