पुंनाम्नो नरकात् पुत्रस्त्रायते पितरं श्रुति: । तस्मादपत्यसंताने यतस्व ब्रह्मसत्तम
puṁnāmno narakāt putras trāyate pitaraṁ śrutiḥ | tasmād apatyasaṁtāne yatasva brahmasattama ||
Mandapāla berkata: “Śruti menyatakan bahawa seorang anak lelaki menyelamatkan ayahnya daripada neraka yang bernama ‘Puṁ-nāman’. Oleh itu, wahai Brahmana yang paling utama, berusahalah agar kesinambungan keturunanmu terpelihara melalui zuriat.”
