Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः
ववृषुश् च सुगन्धाढ्यं नन्दिनो गगनोदितम् वृष्ट्या तुष्टस्तदा रेजे तुष्ट्या पुष्ट्या यथार्थया
vavṛṣuś ca sugandhāḍhyaṃ nandino gaganoditam vṛṣṭyā tuṣṭastadā reje tuṣṭyā puṣṭyā yathārthayā
Dan Nandin menurunkan dari langit suatu curahan yang sarat keharuman. Disenangkan oleh hujan itu, Baginda pun bersinar—kepuasan itu menjadi santapan sejati, menambah keberkatan dan kekuatan dengan sebenar-benarnya.

The fragrant celestial shower signifies Shiva’s anugraha: when Linga-worship is accepted, the environment itself becomes auspicious, indicating purification and the ripening of merit that supports steadfast bhakti and puja.
It implies Shiva as Pati whose grace manifests outwardly as auspicious phenomena and inwardly as tuṣṭi (settled clarity). True ‘puṣṭi’ here is not mere material gain but the strengthening of dharma and spiritual capacity under Shiva’s governance.
The verse points to puja-phala as inner tuṣṭi leading to puṣṭi—an indicator of successful worship and disciplined practice (Pashupata-oriented devotion), where external signs mirror inner purification and steadiness of mind.
