Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः
दुद्रुवुस्ते भयाविष्टा देवा हाहेतिवादिनः अपतन्मुनयश्चान्ये देवाश् च धरणीतले
dudruvuste bhayāviṣṭā devā hāhetivādinaḥ apatanmunayaścānye devāś ca dharaṇītale
Dilanda ketakutan, para dewa itu melarikan diri sambil menjerit, “Aduhai! Aduhai!” Para resi yang lain turut rebah, dan para dewa tersungkur di permukaan bumi—tewas semangat di hadapan Pati Yang Mahatinggi, yang kuasanya memecahkan segala pasha (ikatan).
