Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्
अर्धमासांश् च मासांश् च अयनाब्दयुगानि च स्थानाभिमानिनः सर्वे स्थानाख्याश्चैव ते स्मृताः
ardhamāsāṃś ca māsāṃś ca ayanābdayugāni ca sthānābhimāninaḥ sarve sthānākhyāścaiva te smṛtāḥ
Separuh bulan, bulan-bulan, perjalanan ayana (laluan solstis), tahun-tahun dan yuga-yuga—semuanya mempunyai kecerdasan pelindung yang memerintah, yang mengidentifikasi diri dengan kedudukan-kedudukan itu; maka mereka diingati sebagai para dewa yang dikenali dengan nama-nama stesen kosmik tersebut.
