Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

ते सुखप्रीतिबहुला बहिरन्तश् च संवृताः प्रकाशा बहिरन्तश् च ऊर्ध्वस्रोतोभवाः स्मृताः

te sukhaprītibahulā bahirantaś ca saṃvṛtāḥ prakāśā bahirantaś ca ūrdhvasrotobhavāḥ smṛtāḥ

Mereka dipenuhi kebahagiaan dan kegembiraan; luar dan dalam tertutup serta terhimpun pada diri, namun luar dan dalam juga bercahaya. Mereka dikenang sebagai makhluk arus menaik (ūrdhva-srotas), cenderung kepada pendakian—menuju Pati dan pembebasan daripada ikatan pāśa.
