Shloka 49

यदुवंश-प्रवचनम्: हैहय-क्रोष्टु-वंशविस्तारः (कृतवीर्यार्जुनादि, ज्यामघ-विदर्भ-शात्वत-पर्यन्तम्)

ऐक्ष्वाकीम् अवहच्चांशुः सत्त्वस्तस्मादजायत सत्त्वात् सर्वगुणोपेतः सात्वतः कुलवर्धनः

aikṣvākīm avahaccāṃśuḥ sattvastasmādajāyata sattvāt sarvaguṇopetaḥ sātvataḥ kulavardhanaḥ

Aṃśu mengahwini seorang puteri daripada keturunan Ikṣvāku. Daripadanya lahir Sattva; dan daripada Sattva lahir Sātvata, yang lengkap dengan segala sifat mulia, pengembang keturunan.
