वासिष्ठकथनम् (आदित्य–सोमवंशवर्णनम् तथा रुद्रसहस्रनाम-प्रशंसा)

श्मशानवासी भगवान् खचरो गोचरो ऽर्दनः अभिवाद्यो महाकर्मा तपस्वी भूतधारणः

śmaśānavāsī bhagavān khacaro gocaro 'rdanaḥ abhivādyo mahākarmā tapasvī bhūtadhāraṇaḥ

Bhagavan Śiva bersemayam di tanah pembakaran mayat; Dia bergerak di angkasa dan juga berjalan di bumi. Dialah Penunduk segala belenggu, layak disembah dengan hormat, Pelaksana karya agung, pertapa maha, serta Penyangga semua makhluk.
