Adhyaya 34: भस्ममहात्म्यं—अग्नीषोमात्मक-शिवतत्त्वं तथा पाशुपतव्रतप्रशंसा
व्रतं पाशुपतं योगं कापिलं चैव निर्मितम् पूर्वं पाशुपतं ह्येतन् निर्मितं तदनुत्तमम्
vrataṃ pāśupataṃ yogaṃ kāpilaṃ caiva nirmitam pūrvaṃ pāśupataṃ hyetan nirmitaṃ tadanuttamam
Baginda menetapkan nazar Pāśupata dan yoga Kapila. Sesungguhnya, disiplin Pāśupata inilah yang mula-mula diinstitusikan; itulah jalan yang tiada bandingan, yang menuntun paśu (jiwa terikat) keluar daripada pāśa menuju Tuhan, Paśupati.
