Aśauca-vidhi — Rules of Birth/Death Impurity, Sapinda Circles, and Śrāddha Sequence

ये समाना इति द्वाभ्यां पिण्डानप्येवमेव हि / सपिण्डीकरणं श्राद्धं देवपूर्वं विधीयते

ye samānā iti dvābhyāṃ piṇḍānapyevameva hi / sapiṇḍīkaraṇaṃ śrāddhaṃ devapūrvaṃ vidhīyate

Dengan melafazkan dua rangkap yang bermula dengan “ye samānā…”, hendaklah seseorang mempersembahkan piṇḍa juga menurut tatacara yang ditetapkan. Demikianlah śrāddha yang dinamakan sapiṇḍīkaraṇa (upacara menyatukan si arwah ke dalam garis leluhur) hendaklah dilakukan, dengan persembahan kepada para Deva didahulukan.
