FAQs

It does not directly define Ātman; instead, it frames dharma as disciplined conduct—purity rules that steady the mind and community order, which in the Kurma Purana supports higher spiritual pursuit.

No explicit meditation is taught here; the verse emphasizes śauca (purity) and niyama-like restraint—avoiding contact and refusing acceptance—supporting inner steadiness that undergirds Yoga practice in the broader Kurma Purana tradition.

The verse is primarily dharma-ritual in focus and does not mention Shiva–Vishnu directly; its concern with Agni and regulated purity fits the Purana’s broader synthesis where disciplined dharma supports devotion and Yoga regardless of sectarian emphasis.
