Sūta (narrator) conveying dharma-instructions of the Kurma Purana tradition
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
Indirectly: it teaches humility and disciplined action (niyama) as a dharmic foundation—purifying conduct that supports inner clarity needed for realizing the Ātman.
It emphasizes karma-yoga in the form of reverential service (seva) and obedience to scriptural custodians (dvijas), cultivating purity (śauca), restraint, and readiness for higher practices like Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā.
By stressing dharma and disciplined offering as the shared ground of Purāṇic spirituality, it aligns with the Kurma Purana’s integrative ethos where devotion and right conduct support both Śaiva and Vaiṣṇava paths.
