FAQs

It presents the Ātman as the inner altar: the vital forces (prāṇas) are to be ‘offered’ into the Self, implying inward realization rather than merely external ritual.

A prāṇāyāma-based ‘inner homa’ where specific vāyus—Udāna and Samāna—are contemplated and integrated, treating breath-regulation as a sacrificial discipline aligned with Pāśupata-style interiorization.

By framing yogic self-offering and inner sacrifice as the core means to realization, it reflects the Purāṇa’s synthesis: Vaiṣṇava narration (Kūrma) teaching a Śaiva-leaning yogic method centered on the same non-dual Self.
