Inilah pengetahuan yang lebih tinggi, melampaui segala—Pañcāyatana yang tertinggi (lima bentuk pemujaan). Sentiasa diamalkan para bijaksana; di Vārāṇasī ia mengurniakan moksha.
Lord Kurma (Vishnu) instructing sages (Puranic dialogue frame)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
By calling Pañcāyatana “higher knowledge,” the verse frames liberation as arising from transcendent jñāna supported by integrated devotion—pointing to realization beyond sectarian distinctions rather than mere ritualism.
The verse highlights a sādhana of continual “service/practice” (sevitam nityam) through Pañcāyatana—an integrated discipline that typically includes mantra, pūjā, and contemplative focus, aligning devotion with liberating insight (jñāna).
By endorsing Pañcāyatana as supreme and liberating, it implicitly supports a harmonizing, non-sectarian framework where major deities are honored together—consistent with the Kurma Purana’s Shaiva–Vaishnava synthesis.
