Adhyāya 25 — Liṅga-māhātmya (The Chapter on the Liṅga): Hari’s Śiva-Worship and the Fiery Pillar Theophany

अव्यक्तं लिङ्गमित्याहुरानन्दं ज्योतिरक्षरम् / वेदा महेस्वरं देवमाहुर्लिङ्गिनमव्ययम्

avyaktaṃ liṅgamityāhurānandaṃ jyotirakṣaram / vedā mahesvaraṃ devamāhurliṅginamavyayam

Mereka menyatakan bahawa Liṅga itu tidak termanifest—cahaya yang tidak binasa, bersifat kebahagiaan suci. Veda pula memaklumkan bahawa Dewa Maheśvara ialah Liṅgin: Tuhan yang tidak berubah dan kekal, yang memegang Liṅga namun melampauinya.
