Akrūra’s Journey to Vraja and His Devotional Vision of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma
rathāt tūrṇam avaplutya so ’krūraḥ sneha-vihvalaḥ papāta caraṇopānte daṇḍa-vad rāma-kṛṣṇayoḥ
In this verse, Akrūra offers daṇḍavat—full prostration like a rod—showing complete humility, surrender, and reverence at the feet of Rāma and Kṛṣṇa.
Seeing them, Akrūra became snehavihvala—overwhelmed by loving devotion—and spontaneously expressed his surrender by bowing fully at their feet.
It teaches that true bhakti is expressed through humility and heartfelt reverence—regularly offering respectful obeisance, mentally or physically, and cultivating sincere affection for the Divine.
