श्रद्धाया दुहिता तपसोऽधि जाता स्वस ऋषीणां भूतकृतां बभूव । सा नो मेखले मतिमा धेहि मेधामथो नो धेहि तप इन्द्रियं च

śraddhā́yā duhitā́ tapáso’dhí jātā́ svasā́ ṛ́ṣīṇāṃ bhūtakṛ́tāṃ babhū́va | sā́ no mekhale matím ā́ dhehi medhā́m átho no dhehi tápa índriyáṃ ca

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Faith’s daughter, born from holy Ardour, she became the Sister of the Seers, the Makers of beings. O Mekhalā, bestow on us thought; bestow on us wisdom; yea, bestow on us ardour and vital power besides.

Translation

Puteri Śraddhā (Kepercayaan), lahir daripada Tapas (bara asketik yang suci), ia menjadi Saudari para Ṛṣi, para pembuat makhluk. Wahai Mekhalā, kurniakan kepada kami fikiran; kurniakan kepada kami kebijaksanaan; bahkan kurniakan juga kepada kami tapas dan daya-indria (kekuatan hayat).
