Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Tantra","secondary_vidya":"Mantra","practical_application":"Dhyana of the asana (seat) with its components, then visualization of a twelve-spoked auspicious chakra above—used to structure yantra-based worship and mantra placement.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Dhyana of Asana and Twelve-Spoked Chakra (Dvadashara Cakra)","lookup_keywords":["asana-dhyana","dvadashara-cakra","yantra-visualization","paricchada","shubha-cakra"],"quick_summary":"First stabilize the visualization of the deity’s seat with its limbs and appurtenances; then superimpose an auspicious twelve-spoked wheel above it as the ritual-mental framework for worship."}

Concept: Dhyana as construction: the mind builds a stable support (asana) and then a higher-order mandalic principle (twelve-spoked chakra).

Application: Use stepwise visualization to prevent mental drift: fix the base image first, then add the chakra layer as a concentrative scaffold.

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Dhyana–Yantra–Mandala Visualization)

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A ritual diagram: a consecrated seat below, and above it an auspicious wheel with twelve spokes, shown as a layered visualization in space.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural: layered cosmic diagram—ornate asana pedestal below, above it a bright dvadashara chakra, priest in profile meditating, bold reds/ochres, temple border motifs.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore: central twelve-spoked chakra rendered with gold work, asana pedestal beneath with gem-like detailing, symmetrical devotional composition.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore: clean didactic illustration of asana components (sagatra, saparicchada) and the twelve-spoked wheel above, fine linework, soft colors.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature: scholar-priest seated in meditation, a stylized diagram floating above a pedestal—twelve-spoked wheel, delicate geometry, architectural interior."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"focused","suggested_raga":"Hamsadhwani","pace":"medium","voice_tone":"instructional"}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It teaches a dhyāna-krama (visualization sequence): first meditate on the ritual/meditative seat (āsana) with full form and accessories, then visualize an auspicious twelve-spoked wheel (cakra) positioned above.

Beyond mythology, the Agni Purana preserves practical liturgical technology—stepwise dhyāna, yantra/mandala components, and iconographic visualization—showing its coverage of ritual science alongside other disciplines.

Correct dhyāna of the āsana and the upper cakra is treated as a purity-producing, concentration-stabilizing act that supports effective worship (pūjā) and aligns the practitioner with auspicious (śubha) divine symbolism.
