FAQs

Ayurvedic Vajīkaraṇa knowledge: a daily milk-based tonic using vidārī, powdered māṣa, and sugar, prepared as a bolus and taken to enhance strength and sexual vigor.

It shows the Purana functioning as a compendium beyond mythology—preserving practical Ayurveda (dietetic-pharmacological recipes) alongside other sciences, making the Agni Purana a multi-disciplinary reference.

Primarily pragmatic rather than ritual: it frames bodily potency as a legitimate puruṣārtha-supporting aid (health and vitality), indirectly supporting household life (gṛhastha-dharma) through maintenance of strength.
