Related Themes: Agni Purana Graha-śānti and graha-doṣa sections in the Jyotiṣa khāṇḍa (adjacent verses/adhyāya context)
It gives a jyotiṣa–ritual mapping: grahas are said to originate from Rudra’s wrath and are associated with specific locales (water-bodies, mountains, groves, bridges), guiding where graha-related appeasement/protective rites are especially pertinent.
It combines cosmological myth (origin of grahas), applied jyotiṣa (grahas as operative forces), and sacred geography (their abodes), illustrating how the Agni Purana links metaphysics to practical religious life and place-based ritual practice.
By identifying grahas as Rudra-born forces tied to particular places, the verse frames afflictions and protections as morally and ritually manageable—encouraging propitiation, purity, and mindful conduct at liminal or powerful sites like crossings and water-bodies.
