Related Themes: Agni Purana 282 (bāla-cikitsā medhya/rasāyana cluster)
Ayurvedic bāla-cikitsā guidance: a disease-destroying herbal set (vacā, vāsā, śuṇṭhī, kṛṣṇā, niśā, etc.) is indicated to promote an infant’s speech, intellect, longevity, and overall flourishing.
It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s compendium style by embedding practical Ayurveda—specific medicinal-drug lists and their outcomes—alongside its broader teachings on ritual, dharma, and other sciences.
By supporting a child’s health, clarity of speech, and intellect—qualities valued for dharmic learning and right conduct—the instruction is framed as auspicious welfare (śrī/maṅgala) that helps sustain righteous life and study.
