The Manifestation of Māyā as Durgā/Kātyāyanī and the Slaying of Vaitrāsura

वरदो देव सर्वास्वापत्स्वप्युद्धरस्‍व तम् । एवमुक्त्वा भवं ब्रह्मा पुनर्देवीं स चाब्रवीत् ॥ २८.४० ॥

varado deva sarvāsv āpatsv apy uddharasva tam | evam uktvā bhavaṃ brahmā punar devīṃ sa cābravīt || 28.40 ||

“हे वरद देव, सर्व प्रकारच्या आपत्तीतही त्याचा उद्धार कर.” असे म्हणून ब्रह्म्याने भव (शिव) यांस उद्देशून पुन्हा देवीला संबोधिले.
