सूत उवाच । ततस्तुष्टो हरिर्भक्त्या धरण्यात्मशरीरगाम् । मायां प्रकाश्य तेनैव स्थितो वाराहमूर्त्तिना ॥ २.१ ॥

सूत म्हणाला— मग भक्तीने संतुष्ट झालेला हरि, धरणीच्या विषयी—जी त्याच्याच आत्मशरीरात स्थित आहे—आपली माया प्रकट करून, त्याच शक्तीने वराहमूर्तीने स्थित राहिला.
