एवं च पिण्डसंकल्पं श्राद्धोत्पत्तिश्च माधवि ॥ आत्रेयेणैव मुनिना स्थापितं ब्राह्मणेषु च ॥

evaṃ ca piṇḍasaṃkalpaṃ śrāddhotpattiś ca mādhavi || ātreyeṇaiva muninā sthāpitaṃ brāhmaṇeṣu ca ||

हे माधवी, अशा प्रकारे पिंड-संकल्प आणि श्राद्धाची उत्पत्ती—ही दोन्ही—ऋषी आत्रेयांनीच ब्राह्मणांमध्ये स्थापित केली.
