देवत्वं ब्राह्मणत्वं च प्रेतपिण्डे प्रदीयते॥ मानुषत्वं निवापेषु ज्ञातव्यं सततं बुधैः॥

devatvaṃ brāhmaṇatvaṃ ca pretapiṇḍe pradīyate || mānuṣatvaṃ nivāpeṣu jñātavyaṃ satataṃ budhaiḥ

प्रेतपिंड-दानाने देवत्व व ब्राह्मणत्व प्राप्त होते; निवाप-दानाने मानुषत्व—हे विद्वानांनी सदैव जाणावे।
