FAQs

Śvetadvīpa references contribute to the study of Purāṇic cosmography and its devotional geographies, showing how liberation is narrated through travel to idealized realms.

Śvetadvīpa is a cosmological ‘white island/continent’ in Purāṇic geography; it is typically treated as mythic topography rather than a securely identifiable terrestrial site.

Liberation is framed as a collective possibility extending beyond a single actor, implying responsibility and inclusion within household and community networks.
